The InfoMedix & ADEA Diabetes Research Foundation’s Scholarship for an Indigenous Student 

We are grateful to Nova Peris OAMfor officially launchingour scholarship during World Diabetes Day celebrations as the official Patron of the scholarship. 

Thank you also to UTS Health’s Professor John Evans and InfoMedix CEO Jeff Smootfor speaking at the launch. 

The Scholarship aims to support an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person studying the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management at UTS Faculty of Health. 

Applications are open until Sunday, 31 January 2021: apply now 

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide either:
    • a Confirmation of Aboriginality from a Local Aboriginal Land Council or other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation; or
    • a UTS Statutory Declaration form accompanied by two written references from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people from the applicant’s community who can confirm their identity and are not an immediate family member; and
  • Have received an offer for C11115 Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management.
  • All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarship application form to be eligible.
